What if I fall?
My darling, what if you fly?
This painting started as a textured rainbow and slowly transformed into a colourful baby bird learning to fly above the safety of her mother bird's huge wings, with one tiny thread of gold between them.
When I paint, symbols appear from somewhere that I don't really have control over. I have now researched the symbolism of baby birds and I would love to share with you what I have discovered.
Baby birds are a symbol of purity, fragility, innocence, rebirth, and life. They represent progress toward harmony and wholeness, and aspirations, deepest hopes, and life goals. They are a sign of something beautiful about to happen in the near future.
I have also discovered that multi-coloured baby birds specially represent happiness, joy and being carefree.
Also, just incase you were wondering (I know I was!) mother birds represent safety, healing, provision, nourishment, support, security and compassion.
I hope this painting makes you feel happy when you look at it.
