** If the artwork is more than 100cm x 100cm the private courier fee may far exceed this amount. If this is the case, I will give you the option of rolling the artwork in a cylinder for postage. Do you send express post?
The shipping costs above are not for express postage. If you require express postage please contact me prior to your purchase and I will quote you for express postage and amend the postage cost if you agree.
What does the shipping cost include?
The shipping charge covers the cost to send you your order standard post (not express) based on your location, packaging and handling, the dimensions and price of your chosen artwork, insurance, personalised item tracking and signature on delivery.
If I am outside of Australia does the price of shipping include my country's taxes?
For international orders, there may be additional customs taxes, duties and fees applied by your country's government. Courts Lippett Art is not responsible for these additional fees.
What does packaging and handling mean?
Each piece of artwork is packaged with glassine paper (acid-free artist quality protective layer between painting and packaging), at least two layers of bubble wrap, a custom fit box, and fragile shipping packaging labels.
Why is Australia Post only for small and medium size paintings?
Australia Post has a cubic weight limit. I can send paintings that are up to 102cm x 76cm x 4cm via express post. Anything larger than this requires a private courier and the prices are higher for this service.
Which private courier do you use?
This is subject to change.
Can I choose my own shipping agent or courier?
No.
Is my artwork insured?
Insurance covers the price of the artwork, excluding the shipping cost.
Will I receive a tracking ID?
Postage includes a tracking ID which will be emailed to you when the product is sent via a fulfilment confirmation email. You will be able to track your package using this tracking ID.
How long will it take to receive my artwork if I am in Australia?
Please allow 1 week for me to sign, varnish, hang and package your artwork. You will receive a tracking ID via email (and sometimes SMS) when your artwork has been sent to you.
In Australia, please allow at least 1 week for the shipping agent to get your artwork to you.
** Please note that there may be significant delays with deliveries at this time due to COVID-19. Australia Post are working hard to deliver all orders on time however they are currently experiencing significant increases nationwide which may cause some delays.
Please take into account that there are busier times of the year such as Christmas when your order may take slightly longer than expected. Please continue to check your tracking number during these rare times.
How long will it take to receive my artwork if I am outside of Australia?
Please note that parcels sent outside of Australia can take up to 6 weeks to clear customs at certain times of the year. Until they clear customs they are not considered “delivered” to the country of destination. Once cleared in customs they are then officially part of that country’s postal service and will continue to track again as normal.
What happens if I am not home when the artwork is delivered?
Your artwork postage includes a signature on delivery. If you are not home the shipping agent will not leave the package at your home. The shipping agent will leave you a physical postcard with pickup details and/or a text message and/or an email explaining where to collect your artwork from with photo identification.
What happens if I do not collect my artwork?
Please only purchase artwork if you know you will be home within three weeks of purchase (within Australia). Please do not order artwork if you know you will be going on holidays soon afterwards. Check your tracking ID regularly to find out where your artwork is and the anticipated delivery day. If your artwork is not delivered and you do not pick it up from the location provided to you it may be returned to Courts Lippett Art at your own expense. You will need to pay for shipping again if this happens.
What happens if I feel worried about Delayed Post and want to contact you?

You will not be refunded if you change your mind after you have purchased your original artwork, or if you change your mind during your payment plan.
When your invoice has been paid in full, and the funds have been received by Courts Lippett Art, your original artwork will be signed, varnished, packaged and shipped to the address you have provided.
What happens if I change my mind and do not want the artwork I have bought?
Refunds or exchanges are not offered for original pieces of artwork simply for “change of mind”.
All photographs and videos of the original artwork online are presented as accurately as possible to the real life original artwork colours.
Due to the sensitive nature of transporting art, all sales of original artwork are final and non-refundable.
Paying for your original artwork in full, or commencing your purchase payment plan indicates that you have agreed to purchase the original artwork listed on your invoice. You will not be refunded if you “change your mind” after you have purchased your original artwork, or if you “change your mind” during your payment plan.
Refunds or exchanges are not offered for original pieces of artwork simply for “ageing” as described below.
From the moment a painting is made, it begins to age. As the painting continues to age, both the paint film and priming lose flexibility and become brittle. Expansion and contraction of the fabric support, due to absorption and release of moisture from the air, adds further strain which can lead to crack formation.
What happens if my artwork is damaged during transit?
All original artwork is handled with the utmost care during the packaging process. In the unlikely circumstance of your delivery being damaged in transit, please photograph the packaging PRIOR to opening the delivery (3 images easy to see in daylight) and then photograph the damaged art inside (3 images easy to see in daylight).
Send images to courtscreativeco@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving your package. Upon confirmation that your original artwork has been damaged in transit (this decision is at the discretion of Courts Lippett Art), you have the choice of a refund via your original method of payment, or a commission painting to replace your artwork with complimentary shipping.
If you are unable to provide detailed images requested above, we are unable to proceed with a refund. Please note we may require that the damaged original artwork is returned in order to proceed with our insurance claim. It is your responsibility to return the original artwork to Courts Lippett Art at your own expense, and provide Courts Lippett Art with a receipt for this. Once we have received the original artwork and the receipt we will refund you the shipping cost.
What happens if my artwork is lost during transit?
In the extremely unlikely event that your artwork is lost in transit by our shipping agent, please be kind (we are equally as upset this has happened) and we will endeavour to do whatever is in our power to resolve this issue. Upon confirmation that the original artwork has been misplaced in transit (this decision is at the discretion of Courts Lippett Art) you will be given the choice of a refund (including shipping) via your original method of payment, or a commission piece to replace the artwork (including shipping).
Incorrect shipping address
We always check to ensure that all parcels have the correct shipping address and labelling that you have provided to us. Please note that we are not responsible or liable for any items which are lost or unattainable due to an incorrectly supplied address by you as the customer. You will not be refunded under these circumstances.
