"Roses" (2025)
This piece of artwork was influenced by eight schoolgirl rowers who are excitedly getting ready for the 2025 Head of the River Rowing Regatta.
When exploring the hidden meaning behind the Rose (or shall we rename this piece "Rows"?), I discovered that white roses represent innocence; blue roses represent resilience; and yellow (gold) roses represent friendship and youth.
And innocence, resilience, friendship and youth really does sum up what school rowing is all about.
