This painting was born of Spring in Australia, and represents a decision I made to really invest in my own new beginnings after grieving the weekend of my first Father's Day without my dad. The dark moodiness of the textured and marked background really give life to the burst of colour an gold leaf in the centre of the piece. The accidental flower was something that I decided to keep going with and now it really feels like a fitting symbol of happiness and joy and hope. This piece is quite large so it would be perfect for a hallway entrance, or an area in your home that can inspire anyone who enters to really look within and know the joy is there.
